skating uphill is great to work out gluts muscles group which gonna help a lot to get a powerfull push…gluts are some of th most powerfull muscle in the body and they are very usefull in skating. Going uphill, most of the adaptation is coming from the upper body position…all the rest is easier … the push is going more back iwth skate in open position… you also need to adapt the rythm with higher leg frequency…
